Broke after one use and slit my hand open; I was cutting a box in half to make a custom box for gift wrapping; not happy.

This is a great knife. Beautifully made. It actually has three Torx screws that hold on the belt clip alone! The handle is anodized knurled aluminum, so the little nubs will wear down to aluminum color after it is used for a while, but it is a tool made to be used.
One-hand opening? Not likely. Spare blades on board? No. Don't care 'cause I just like it. If you like nicely-made techy tools, you will too. |

Hard to open with one hand. Can't close with one hand. You can do both of these with Gerber superknife which is also lighter. This knife gets the job done though and has no real flaws.

For the price, I didn't expect much. However, I found it to be very sturdy and solid. It is solid metal - no plastic. It closes like a simple pocket knife, but is very rigid when locked open. Maybe my other utility knives are cheap, but I always have problems with the retractable blades retracking on their own, and the fixed blades are sort of dangerous to carry around or have near children. This knife seems to solve all these issues. I have a variety of different box cutters I use for breaking down cardboard, and this is my new favorite.

Don't expect a Made in Germany product at this price. That said the knife is still an excellent deal
